Project Engineer - Mechanical

Role Summary

John Keells Properties is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer - Mechanical to join a team committed to "Creating New Worlds" in real estate through innovative and sustainable living spaces in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting MEP QA/QC inspections across project sites.
  • Maintaining inspection records and ensuring apartments and completed works are free from defects.
  • Performing testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems prior to handover.
  • Ensuring all MEP systems are fully commissioned before project handover.
  • Conducting periodic inspections to ensure contractors are following approved construction practices and applicable standards.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for mechanical and plumbing works.
  • Attending inspections and maintaining inspection records at each stage of the project.
  • Managing inspection and rectification activities during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical and Plumbing works within a medium- to high-rise building environment.
  • Experience in MEP QA/QC inspections, testing and commissioning activities, and quality assurance processes.
  • Exposure to defect identification, rectification coordination, and handover processes within construction projects.
