Role Summary
John Keells Properties is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer - Mechanical to join a team committed to "Creating New Worlds" in real estate through innovative and sustainable living spaces in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting MEP QA/QC inspections across project sites.
- Maintaining inspection records and ensuring apartments and completed works are free from defects.
- Performing testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems prior to handover.
- Ensuring all MEP systems are fully commissioned before project handover.
- Conducting periodic inspections to ensure contractors follow approved construction practices and standards.
- Assisting in the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for mechanical and plumbing works.
- Attending inspections and maintaining inspection records at each stage of the project.
- Managing inspection and rectification activities during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical and Plumbing works within a medium- to high-rise building environment.
- Experience in MEP QA/QC inspections, testing and commissioning activities, and quality assurance processes.
- Exposure to defect identification, rectification coordination, and handover processes within construction projects.
