Medical Lab Technicians
Role Summary
New Philip Hospitals, established in 1955, is a 75-bed fully equipped private hospital situated along the southern coastal belt in Kalutara. We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our ISO-certified Clinical Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain laboratory records, reports, and documentation in an organised manner.
- Operate laboratory equipment and assist with its maintenance when required.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines.
Requirements/Qualifications
- A degree/diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Valid SLMC registration will be considered an added advantage.
- 0–2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work accurately and responsibly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
