Maintenance Technician (MEP)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and dedicated individual to join our Facilities Management Unit. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of campus facilities and building services systems, including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the campus premises.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment failures or abnormalities to the Maintenance Manager promptly.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, spare parts, and tools.
• Maintain high standards of workplace safety and comply with all operational safety procedures.
• Support the upkeep and smooth operation of all campus facilities and utilities.

Requirements

• Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent) with G.C.E. (O/L) qualification having a minimum of six passes.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience as a Maintenance Technician after obtaining the required qualifications.
• Sound technical knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building services maintenance.
• Experience in maintenance activities related to HVAC systems, Fire Protection Systems, Elevators, Generators, Electrical Power Panels, UPS systems, Water Pumps, Sewer Treatment Plants, and Civil Construction works will be an added advantage.
