Role Summary
John Keells Properties is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer - MEP to take on exciting and challenging projects in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable living spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination with consultants and stakeholders to finalize high-performance MEP designs, ensuring compliance with design standards and maximizing value engineering.
- Provide technical oversight for MEP systems, including Vertical Transportation and Life Safety/Fire Engineering, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
- Act as the primary technical coordination point with regulatory bodies to obtain MEP-related approvals, utility connections, and building certifications.
- Oversee the MEP procurement process, including identification and technical evaluation of sub-contractors, and maintain control over performance to ensure contractual and schedule obligations are met.
- Liaise with the project team to ensure on-site execution aligns with approved designs, quality standards, and project timelines.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in MEP site engineering and execution.
- Design experience in MEP systems is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, equipment, and installation standards.
- Excellent coordination skills for liaising with civil, architectural, and other trades.
