Role Summary
The Department of Meteorology is seeking candidates for the permanent and pensionable post of Meteorological Assistant Grade III. This role involves general maintenance and observational support duties.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining head office and regional office premises.
- Cleaning and maintaining meteorological observation instruments.
- Assisting in meteorological observation activities.
- Securing and protecting instruments at regional offices during night shifts.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Age between 18 and 45 years as of 2026-07-27.
- Passed six subjects with at least two credits in not more than two sittings at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination.
- Must possess adequate physical and mental fitness to serve in any part of the island.
