Backed by a full GSMB Mining Licence and internationally aligned safety standards, the role covers the production of dimension stones and value added granite products, based on-site in Mathugama.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day mining operations, from extraction through to dispatch.
• Ensure full compliance with GSMB regulations, licence conditions & renewals.
• Plan & monitor output of dimension stones against targets & plan for zero-risk quarry management.
• Coordinating drilling, cutting & block extraction schedules with the production team.
• Liaise with GSMB & other regulators on mining approvals, inspections & renewals.
• Implement & enforce safety and environmental compliance standards on site.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Mining Engineering, or similar qualifications in a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in relevant field.
• Aged below 40 years.
• Proven experience liaising with the GSMB on licensing, compliance & renewals.
• Hands-on experience in quarry or dimension stone operations.
• Strong understanding of safety & environmental compliance standards.
• Fluency in written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala. Tamil will be an added advantage.
