Manager - Minor Crops

We are looking for an experienced and commercially oriented Manager – Minor Crops to lead the development and performance monitoring of our high value crop portfolio, with particular focus on Avocado, Pineapple and Banana.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and monitoring of commercial avocado, pineapple, banana and other high-value crops.
- Establish modern agronomic practices, crop standards, yield targets and quality benchmarks.
- Introduce internationally recognized cultivation and crop-management practices.
- Develop production systems focused on export-quality products and international market requirements.
- Evaluate international varieties, planting materials and new production technologies.
- Monitor crop yield, quality, productivity, costs and profitability.
- Establish appropriate GAP, traceability, food-safety and quality-management practices.
- Ensure proper harvesting, grading, packing and post-harvest handling to meet export standards.
- Work with exporters, buyers, research institutions and technical specialists to understand and meet international customer specifications.
- Identify opportunities for crop diversification, productivity improvement and commercially viable new crops.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plantation Management or a related field.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in commercial fruit production or horticulture.
- Strong practical knowledge of Avocado, Pineapple and Banana.
- Experience in export-oriented agriculture or international fresh-produce markets will be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of international GAP, food safety, traceability and post-harvest management.
- Strong analytical, field-management and leadership skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to convert agronomic opportunities into profitable agricultural ventures.
