Naturalist - Uga Ulagalla
Uga Resorts is seeking a Naturalist to join the team at Uga Ulagalla – Anuradhapura. The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating wildlife and nature interpretation activities, monitoring and reporting environmental observations, supporting conservation and sustainability efforts, and delivering enjoyable and informative experiences that connect guests with the natural environment.
The Ideal Profile We Are Looking For:
- A Proven Track Record: Minimum 2–3 years of prior experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury resorts or boutique hotels.
- Naturalist Expertise: Strong knowledge of local biodiversity, wildlife behavior, and environmental conservation, with the ability to lead engaging nature experiences, share compelling interpretations of the natural environment, and enhance guest appreciation of the destination's unique ecosystems. Confident in swimming and capable of conducting water-based activities.
- Collaboration and Accountability: A dependable team player who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading engaging nature-based activities, and promoting environmental awareness with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized with the ability to plan and coordinate nature-based activities, manage schedules effectively, and ensure a seamless and enriching experience for guests.
- Professional Qualifications: A qualification in wildlife Management or Environmental Science is preferred.
