Health and Safety Officer - Hemas Hospital Thalawathugoda
Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with hospital health, safety, fire safety and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement and supervise fire safety plans, emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, fire risk assessments and workplace audits.
- Monitor, maintain and ensure all fire and life safety equipment are functional and compliant.
- Coordinate fire drills, safety training and awareness programs.
- Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Diploma in Health & Safety, Engineering & Fire Safety/ PG Diploma in fire safety or environment management from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of current fire suppression, firefighting techniques, fire records systems, and communications equipment.
- Good knowledge of the principles and practices involved in emergency medical services (added advantage).
- Minimum 01 year of experience in health and safety, quality management systems in a hospital environment or equivalent.
- Energetic candidate with excellent IT skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills and demonstration skills.
