Safety Officer - WindForce Limited

Role Summary

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) practices across the 100MW Solar Power Plant. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Requirements

• Completion of a diploma from a recognized institute (NIOSH SL, DOSH CIPM, Dip in OHS Colombo University) with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Completion of a recognized OHS certificate (NIOSH or NEBOSH) with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain legal and regulatory compliance.
• Site safety implementation.
• Conduct site safety training, awareness sessions, and toolbox meetings.
• Capacity to work independently and confidently.
• Capability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support sustainability programs and related actions.
