Consultant - Organization Development

Project Background
SAFE Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under the Voluntary Social Services Act as a National NGO, working with marginalized and vulnerable communities and children for more than 15 years. The project “Together We Rise (TWR)” has been implemented by SAFE Foundation for three years. The project focuses on strengthening the capacity, participation, and sustainability of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other related organizations in Sri Lanka. Ideally, the Consultant will be responsible for delivering the following as well:
Key Responsibilities
- Organizational Development Guidance
- CSO Organizational Review
- Introduction of the CSO Organizational Assessment Tools
- Capacity Building and Facilitation
- Organizational Development Planning
- Reporting and Documentation
- Consultation meeting with the SAFE Foundation team to agree on the methodology and implementation approach
- Review of relevant CSO organizational development
- Preparation of session plans and modules for CSO organizational development
- Preparation of session plans for review and training/orientation sessions
- Preparation of training materials
- Facilitation of CSO capacity development
- Identification and prioritization of key organizational development gaps
- Preparation of a summary of key findings and recommendations
- Submission of a final report to SAFE Foundation
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in organizational development, institutional strengthening, capacity building, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with CSOs, NGOs, CBOs, or development organizations
- Proven experience in conducting organizational assessments and capacity-building programs
- Strong experience in designing and facilitating participatory training, workshops, and organizational review processes
- Knowledge and experience in areas such as: Governance and leadership / Financial management and compliance / Inclusion, safeguarding, and gender equality / Civic engagement and advocacy / Resilience and organizational sustainability / Strong analytical, facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills / Ability to work collaboratively with CSO staff, project teams, and other stakeholders
- Excellent proficiency in English and Sinhala. Tamil proficiency will be an advantage
