Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Resident Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to strengthen our expanding Orthopaedic and Trauma Services.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery recognized by the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo.
- Registration as a Specialist with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).
- Proven post-board certification experience in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of trauma, elective orthopaedic procedures, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
- A commitment to clinical governance, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive consultant-led orthopaedic care for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases.
- Manage orthopaedic trauma and elective surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities, and accreditation programmes.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of orthopaedic services at Hemas Hospital Wattala.
