REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Certificate in Paramedicine recognized by the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka.
• Registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) as a Paramedic.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Knowledge of pre-hospital emergency care, patient assessment, and triage.
• Understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and basic medical procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with a compassionate attitude.
• Previous experience in a hospital or emergency care setting will be an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high-quality pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency care.
• Assess patients and perform initial examinations, vital signs monitoring, and ECG when required.
• Assist in advanced life support procedures and emergency interventions.
• Prepare patients for transfer, admission, or discharge.
• Operate and maintain life-support equipment and emergency vehicles.
• Ensure accurate documentation and handover of patient information.
• Follow infection control practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in drills, training programs, and continuous skill development.
