Pharmacist (Bhaisajjaika)

Role Summary

Recruitment for Grade III of the Post of Pharmacist (Bhaisajjaika) (Management Assistant Technical Segment 2 Service Category) of the Department of Ayurveda, Central Provincial Council.

Responsibilities

• Procurement and distribution of relevant equipment, and accounting/bookkeeping.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational: Passed the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects in one sitting, with Credit passes in four (04) subjects including Mathematics, Sinhala/Tamil/English language, and Science.
• Professional: Should have completed a two-year Pharmacy course from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission, obtained the certificate, and registered as a Pharmacist with the Ayurvedic Medical Council.
• Age: Between 18 and 35 years of age as of 2026.01.27.
• Physical: Must be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the Central Province.
• Other: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka and confirm continuous permanent residence within the Central Province for the immediately preceding 03 years.
