Assistant Pharmacist and Cashier

About the Role

To assist in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and ensure excellent service to patients.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Assisting the pharmacist in dispensing medicines and providing accurate information to patients.
• Assisting with filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions.
• Handling cash transactions and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Greeting patients, answering inquiries, and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Maintaining stock, checking expiry dates, and restocking pharmaceutical products.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: GCE O/L and A/L qualifications.
• Certification: Certificate or Diploma in Pharmacy will be an added advantage.
• Experience: Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
• Skills: Proficiency in Sinhala and Tamil, and basic computer literacy.

Salary

Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month
