Assistant Pharmacist
Be part of a professional team dedicated to providing safe, accurate and high-quality pharmacy services to support better patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in dispensing medication accurately under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Maintain proper storage, stock control and documentation of pharmaceutical products.
- Support prescription processing and customer service at the pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in inventory management and monitoring of expiry dates.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Head of Pharmacy / Management.
Requirements
- Registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council as the Apprentice Pharmacist is mandatory.
- Successful completion of the prescribed training period.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team and in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting will be an added advantage.
