Apprentice Pharmacist Cum Cashiers

Role Summary

Nawaloka Hospitals PLC is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Apprentice Pharmacist Cum Cashiers to join our pharmacy team. This role involves assisting in the dispensing of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, while also handling cashier duties accurately and efficiently.

Requirements/Qualifications

• G.C.E. A/L (Physical Science stream) with credit passes.
• Following or completed NVQ Level 4 in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosages, and drug categories.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office and POS systems).
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the pharmacy field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with inventory management.
• Handle cashier duties including billing, receiving payments, and issuing receipts.
• Ensure all transactions are accurate and balanced at the end of the shift.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy and cashier area.
• Adhere to hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the pharmacist in charge.
