Planning Engineer
Role Summary
A leading construction company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Planning Engineer to join their team at CRCC 25th Bureau Cooperation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction planning and project controls.
- Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Membership of IESL will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Previous experience in UDA projects will be an advantage.
- Extensive experience in apartment/high-rise building construction will be highly considered.
- Good overall understanding of Civil, Architectural and MEP works and their interfaces.
- Experience in coordinating and integrating Civil, Architectural and MEP activities within the master programme.
- Experience in preparing, monitoring and updating baseline programmes, recovery programmes and short-term programmes.
- Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, monitoring resource, planning and delay analysis.
- Experience in preparing weekly, monthly and management progress reports.
- Ability to coordinate with Government authorities, UDA and other relevant statutory authorities.
- Strong coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and monitor the overall project programme using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate and integrate Civil, Architectural and MEP programmes.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress and identify delays, risks and critical activities.
- Prepare recovery and mitigation programmes where required.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and other project progress reports.
- Coordinate with project management, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve planned targets.
- Coordinate with UDA and relevant government/statutory authorities regarding project requirements, inspections, approvals and programme matters.
- Monitor project milestones and provide timely alerts on potential delays.
- Analyse programme performance and provide recommendations to the Project Manager for timely project completion.
