Plant Operator – Solar PV Power Plant

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain solar PV plant equipment including inverters, LV panels, and the 33kV switchyard.
• Monitor system performance through cloud-based platforms and ensure compliance with standard procedures.
• Coordinate with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and internal teams to manage outages, shutdowns, and operational updates.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, handle alarms promptly, and ensure safety compliance.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in plant or electrical system operation, preferably in solar PV or related industries.
• Basic knowledge of 33kV switchyard operations and electrical safety standards.
• Solid understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, LV panels, and electrical equipment.
• Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining LV/MV systems and using test instruments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring platforms for solar generation tracking.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication skills.
• Team oriented with strong commitment to safety and adherence to standard operating procedures.
