Role Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven PLC Engineer to lead and support automation, control systems, and industrial process improvements within our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for PLC programming, troubleshooting automation systems, optimizing machine performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure maximum productivity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Perform modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of automation and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues.
- Support production teams to minimize machine downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Implement process improvements and automation projects to enhance productivity.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities related to PLC systems.
- Maintain proper documentation of control systems, wiring diagrams, and software backups.
- Support new machinery installation, commissioning, and integration projects.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Omron, or Delta.
- Experience with HMI, SCADA, VFDs, sensors, and industrial communication networks.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control panels, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG industries will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO, GMP, HACCP, and safety requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
