Product Development Executive (Polymer Products)

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate new polymer formulations and specialty chemical solutions.
• Conduct laboratory trials, product testing, and performance evaluations.
• Provide technical support and application development for customers.
• Work closely with international principals to introduce new technologies and products.
• Coordinate customer trials and analyze product performance.
• Prepare technical reports, product specifications, and application guides.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to provide technical solutions and customer training.
• Stay updated with market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• 2–4 years of experience in polymer product development, technical services, R&D, or application development.
• Sound knowledge of polymer chemistry, additives, and processing technologies.
• Experience in laboratory testing, formulation development, and troubleshooting is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple development projects.
• Good command of English and Sinhala.
• Possession of a valid driving licence is an added advantage.
