Role Summary
We are a leading BOI company, a manufacturer of trailers and semi-trailers in the South Asian region exporting to over 62+ countries worldwide. We are looking for efficient and energetic individuals to fill the following vacancy to strengthen our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of fabrication welders, fitters, and other shop floor personnel.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor work to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Ensure fabrication work is carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and approved work instructions.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship while minimizing process errors, product defects, and material wastage.
- Monitor welding, fitting, and fabrication activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and production requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Stores, and Maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections and identify process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure all fabrication equipment and tools are properly utilized and maintained.
- Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Data recording on daily production reports, manpower allocation reports, and performance updates.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce rework, and improve overall manufacturing performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in semi-trailer, truck body, structural steel, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding processes (MIG/MAG), metal cutting, assembly, and fitting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.
- Sound understanding of quality control procedures and defect prevention techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SS, Kaizen, or continuous improvement practices will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and monitoring.
