Production Shift Lead

Role Summary

Jacobi Carbons Lanka, a subsidiary of the global Jacobi Carbons group (under the DIAGAS Japan group), is seeking a Shift Supervisor / Incharge to join our manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification.
• Relevant vocational qualifications.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Sinhala and English.
• Positive attitude, communication, and team management skills.
• Over 10 years of experience in a machine-based manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role will be an added advantage.
• Age between 35 - 45 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour operational and administrative support for the factory.
• Manage factory operations during off-hours and holidays.
• Coordinate with the production department, including HR support, raw material handling, and finished goods storage.
• Maintain communication with supervisors, engineers, and management.
• Manage night shift meal arrangements.
• Assist with special meetings, events, and other organizational activities.
• Coordinate with the security department.
• Handle emergency medical situations and transport for employees.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist with Work Permit processes.
• Educate team members on safety procedures (SOP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all activities follow "Safety First" policies.
• Support environmental compliance activities.
• Ensure production quality standards are met.
