Executive - Project
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of refurbishment and construction projects.
- Coordinate project activities with Operations, Store Management, consultants, Quantity Surveyors (QS), contractors, and suppliers.
- Supervise civil refurbishment and construction works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections, monitor contractor performance, and ensure timely rectification of defects and non-conforming work.
- Coordinate refurbishment activities, including night work where required, to minimize disruption to store operations and ensure timely handover of work areas.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery actions.
- Verify completed work and contractor payment claims in coordination with the Quantity Surveyor, where applicable.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress and inspection reports.
- Coordinate project completion, final inspections, handover activities, and close-out documentation.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Building Construction, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in civil construction, refurbishment, fit-out projects, or site supervision.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality standards, and the ability to interpret construction drawings.
- Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, project scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines.
