Risk & Quality Assurance Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure updated policies, procedures, and manuals are in place at all branches.
• Verify staff involved in lending are trained and compliant with processes.
• Conduct pre- and post-loan assessments to ensure loan quality.
• Perform field visits to main and remote branches to check compliance.
• Monitor portfolio concentration risks.
• Visit delinquent clients and analyze root causes of delinquency.
• Ensure proper cash management and daily banking at branches.
• Identify, monitor, and report potential fraud and operational risks.
• Ensure legal cases are properly monitored and attended to.

Requirements

• A recognized degree in Finance / Accounting / Auditing or related field.
• Part qualification in CA/ACCA/CIMA or HNDA/AAT with A/L in any stream.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in microfinance, risk management, or audit & compliance (experience in financial institutions is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and internal controls.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Sinhala & English with strong report writing ability.
• Must possess a valid riding license with own motorbike.
• Willing to travel to island-wide branch locations.

Location

Balangoda, Pallebadda, Pelmadulla, Morawaka, Weligama, Awissawella, Ambalanthota, and Kalawana.
