Role Summary

American Premium Water is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager - Quality Assurance to lead distribution, logistics, customer service, and operational planning functions. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient delivery execution, customer satisfaction, cost optimization, and operational excellence. The QA Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of all products by developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with company standards, Sri Lanka Standards (SLS), ISO requirements, and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, SLS, HACCP, Ministry of Health and other applicable quality and food safety standards.
• Monitor and improve quality assurance and quality control processes throughout production.
• Lead and supervise the QA/QC team and support their professional development.
• Conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external audits.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure all quality records, inspection reports, calibration records, and batch release documents are maintained accurately.
• Work closely with all departments to maintain GMP compliance, improve operational processes, and ensure consistent product quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed across all quality-related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience in the bottled water, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is required.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, and Sri Lanka Standards (SLS).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of CAPA, quality auditing, and continuous improvement techniques.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification.
• ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System Lead Auditor Certification (preferred).
