R&D Executive
Role Summary
RK Industries is looking for a motivated and innovative Executive - Research and Development to join our R&D team and help us create high-quality, effective, and innovative cosmetic products.

No. 18, Walana, Panadura
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new cosmetic formulations (skincare, haircare, personal care) in line with the product development pipeline and brand briefs.
- Conduct lab-scale trials, prepare prototype samples, and refine formulations based on evaluation feedback.
- Support scale-up from lab to pilot and production batches, troubleshooting process issues with the production team.
- Carry out reformulation projects for cost optimization, ingredient substitution, or regulatory compliance.
- Conduct stability studies (accelerated and real-time) and packaging compatibility testing for new and reformulated products.
- Evaluate new raw materials and fragrances, review supplier technical documents.
- Maintain accurate lab records, trial logs, and R&D project trackers.
- Stay current on ingredient trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes affecting product development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in cosmetics/personal care formulation or a related FMCG R&D environment. Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may be considered for a trainee grade.
- Familiarity with cosmetic regulations is an advantage.
