Manager/Assistant Manager - Regulatory Compliance

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Regulatory Compliance (RC) unit of the Compliance Department, reporting directly to the AGM-Compliance
- Ensure awareness of all applicable Laws, rules and regulations issued by the CBSL and other regulatory authorities and effective communication of all new regulatory requirements to business and operations units
- Provide regulatory compliance advice to Business/Operations units as and when needed
- Develop/Review Regulatory Compliance policies and procedures to ensure they comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and ensure controls are up-to-date and effective
- Regularly monitor Bank's Regulatory Compliance levels through Compliance Reviews
- Act as the liaising officer with CBSL including obtaining clarifications on behalf of the business/support units when required
- Responsible for providing training to employees on Regulatory Compliance matters to promote and enhance a strong bank-wide compliance culture
- Preparation of compliance reports/papers on regulatory compliance for the EIRMC/BIRMC & BOD
Experience & Qualifications
- A Degree or a Professional qualification in Banking/Compliance
- Minimum 8-12 years of Banking experience out of which 4-6 years in a Regulatory Compliance related role
- Knowledge in Foreign Exchange Regulations is mandatory
- Experience in Corporate Governance is preferred
- A detail-oriented individual with excellent computer skills in MS Office
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English including report writing
- Sound knowledge on Regulatory Compliance, Foreign Exchange regulations and Corporate Governance
