Role Summary

As a Junior Executive / Executive - Risk, you will be responsible for conducting independent, systematic reviews of approved and disbursed loan facilities to ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and sound risk management practices. The role also includes independently managing customer complaints and ensuring their timely and effective resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and sample-based reviews of approved and disbursed loan files.
• Assess compliance with credit policies, delegated lending authorities, and internal procedures.
• Verify the adequacy of documentation, security perfection, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate the quality of credit appraisals and identify deviations or systemic weaknesses.
• Prepare Loan Review Reports including observations, risk ratings, and recommendations.
• Assist in preparing periodic credit risk assessments for Management, BIRMC, and the Board.
• Maintain review trackers, follow-up matrices, and ensure timely status updates.
• Acknowledge, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of complaints received through CBSL FCRD and the Company's customer complaint channels.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university or institute.
• Part qualification in CIMA/ CMA / AAT / Banking will be an added advantage.
• A Diploma in Credit Management from a recognized institute is an added advantage.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Credit Risk, Credit Evaluation, or Credit Administration within a finance company or bank.
• Strong analytical and credit evaluation skills.
• Good understanding of lending products and collateral structures.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
