Sales and Administration Assistant Manager
Role Summary
David Pieris Motor Company (Pvt) Ltd is the largest automotive company in Sri Lanka, serving the vast majority with its hallmark of affordability, reliability and economy. The Company is the sole distributor for Bajaj and KTM in Sri Lanka. In addition, the Company is also a distributor of MRF, ATLAS and ORION tyres in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day sales and administrative operations of the division to achieve business objectives.
- Manage divisional manpower planning and oversee employee recruitment and onboarding in collaboration with the HR Department.
- Manage budgets, operational expenses, and resource utilization to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Lead employee performance management, training, coaching, and development to build a high-performing team.
- Ensure effective dealer and customer relationship management, including accurate administration and documentation.
- Monitor operational performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement technology-driven solutions.
- Oversee invoicing and debtor management while ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Monitor key operational and people-related KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, customers, dealers, and other stakeholders while fostering a collaborative, performance-driven work culture.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Science, Sales and Marketing, Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Professional qualification (Partly/Full) such as CIMA, CIM, PMP, or CMA will be added advantage.
- Proficiency in IT and experience working with an ERP system will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field in an executive-level position or above.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
