Sea Freight Import Coordinator

Role Summary

Abanchy Ceylon is a fast-growing freight forwarding company. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Executive - Sea Freight Imports to join our team and play a key role in managing ocean freight operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all sea freight import operations.
• Prepare and handle necessary import documentation including Asycuda/Asyhub EDI manifesting.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant customs and import regulations.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with ocean freight carriers and yards.
• Monitor shipments to ensure they arrive on time and address any delays or discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide analytical insights and operational reports to improve service and efficiency.
• Work independently with minimal supervision as part of a team.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of operational experience in ocean freight imports.
• In-depth knowledge with Asycuda / Asyhub EDI manifesting.
• Strong understanding of ocean freight import compliance and customs regulations.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with ocean freight carriers and yards.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks.
• High work profile and experience in the freight forwarding industry.
