Search Engine Optimization Marketing Specialist
Role Summary
Digital400 is a young, dynamic, and fast-growing IT company delivering high-quality software engineering solutions to clients across Australia, New Zealand, and other global markets. We're looking for an SEO Specialist who thinks about discoverability in its broadest sense, including traditional SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
Key Responsibilities
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): Own full technical SEO, conduct keyword research, manage on-page optimisation, monitor Core Web Vitals, execute link building, resolve website bugs, and deliver monthly performance reports.
- Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO): Structure content for Featured Snippets and People Also Ask results, implement schema markup, and optimise content for question-based and voice search.
- Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): Monitor brand citations across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews), develop content strategies for AI representation, and proactively bring new approaches to the team.
- Google Ads (Keywords Campaign): Assist with keyword strategy, Quality Score optimisation, campaign setup, and performance monitoring.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 3+ years SEO experience in B2B, SaaS, or technology.
- Proven track record of organic traffic growth and keyword ranking improvements.
- Hands-on experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GSC, and GA4.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into action.
- AEO knowledge including schema, featured snippets, and structured content.
- Experience with marketing cloud, AI, or enterprise technology products.
- Good writing instincts to produce or guide SEO-optimised content.
