Senior Accounts Executive / Assistant Accountant

You are a results-driven finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in management reporting and budgeting? We are seeking a highly capable individual to join our finance team at the group level and our subsidiary, and play a key role in supporting business performance through accurate financial reporting and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior management.
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and review of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance, variances, and key business trends, providing actionable insights.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor costs, expenses, and profitability across business operations.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and management reporting packs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Support business decision-making through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Part qualification or full qualification in CIMA, ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, or equivalent professional body.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting systems (QB/Easy book).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
