Lead Business Development Engineer

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities from customer inquiry to quotation submission. Transform customer requirements into accurate, competitive, and profitable quotations. Act as the key technical and commercial interface for costing, data validation, and quotation preparation. Support new business acquisition by ensuring timely, reliable, and high-quality proposal submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing RFQ timelines, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and quotation tracking.
• Reviewing BOMs, schematics, Gerber files, drawings, test specifications, and quality requirements.
• Identifying manufacturing risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Preparing and validating costing models covering materials, manufacturing, testing, logistics, and NRE costs.
• Ensuring pricing accuracy and data integrity across Luminovo, ERP, and related business systems.
• Developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support business decisions.
• Driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and data governance activities.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Operations, and Account Management teams.

Requirements/Qualifications

• BSc. Engineering in the field of Electronic, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Proven experience in RFQ management or business development within an industrial/electronics manufacturing environment (Minimum 2 years of work experience).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Quotation tools such as Luminovo or similar.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and commercial data.
• Exposure to data analytics, Power BI, reporting automation, or digital transformation projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
