Senior Executive - Business Development

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, market research, cold calling, networking, and customer visits.
• Generate sales to meet the agreed monthly and annual targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Generate and qualify potential leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Conduct effective presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer requirements.
• Negotiate with prospective customers, handle inquiries and support the successful closure of sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer inquiries, leads, and pipeline updates.
• Conduct regular customer visits and effectively follow up on potential business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
• To follow up on all confirmed orders and submit reports to the senior management on the progress periodically.
• To follow up with customers to get their feedback and submit reports to the senior management periodically.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A Diploma or Degree in Business Management with a science/technical background is desired.
• Three years of previous exposure to business development in the energy sector would be an added advantage.
• Strong prospecting, persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours when needed.
• Outstanding computer skills – MS Office – Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Possess a valid riding license.
