Ruhunu Farms (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of Aberdeen Holding (Pvt) Ltd, a leading commercial poultry farming and agro-farming company based in Hambantota, Southern Province, Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily layer farm operations and farm staff activities.
• Monitor bird health, feed and water consumption, egg production, mortality and overall flock performance.
• Ensure farm hygiene, biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
• Maintain accurate records of farm data and production performance.
• Identify operational issues and take timely corrective actions.
• Lead, motivate and develop farm teams to achieve production targets.
• Coordinate with management, veterinary, maintenance and other departments.
• Support implementation of farm improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree in Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Poultry Science or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in poultry/layer farm operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Good knowledge of commercial layer management, bird health, feeding, production and biosecurity.
• Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and develop farm teams effectively.
• Good computer and data recording/reporting skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours and male applicants are preferred.
