Senior Manager - Group Corporate Communications
Role Summary: McLarens Group, one of Sri Lanka's leading diversified conglomerates, is seeking a Head of Group Corporate Communications. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving the Group's communication vision, strengthening corporate reputation, and ensuring a consistent brand identity across all business sectors.
Role Purpose: To lead Group Corporate Communications and shape the Group’s narrative across Sri Lanka’s maritime, logistics, energy, and supply chain landscapes, ensuring consistent, impactful, and strategically aligned communication across all internal and external channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Group-wide corporate communication and branding strategy aligned with business goals.
- Manage Group branding, corporate identity, and communication standards across all subsidiaries and sectors.
- Lead media relations, public relations, crisis communication, and reputation management initiatives.
- Oversee internal communications to ensure consistent messaging, employee engagement, and leadership alignment.
- Act as the key communication advisor to the Board and senior leadership on sensitive and strategic matters.
- Coordinate with marketing, HR, and business units to ensure integrated and consistent communication.
- Digital Strategy: Oversee corporate website, SEO, and social media ecosystem to drive global engagement.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries to align Group branding, marketing, and communication plans.
- Lead the rollout, communication, and stakeholder engagement of the Group's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programme.
- Lead and develop the Corporate Communications team and external agencies.
- Multimedia & Branding: Lead the production of corporate videos, infographics, and maintain the Group's Brand & Communications Handbook.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage).
- 10+ years of experience in Corporate Communications, Branding, or Public Relations, with experience in a senior managerial role.
- Strong expertise in brand strategy, social media promotion, digital communications, and outdoor brand activation.
- Experience working across Group companies with the ability to balance Group and individual business branding requirements.
- Proven experience in developing corporate communication materials, including brochures, websites, company profiles, and presentations.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Forward-thinking with the ability to align communication strategies with evolving business needs.
