Senior Group Financial Compliance Executive

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Executive – Group Financial Compliance Management to join our corporate team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all groups, subsidiaries, and financial operations align seamlessly with internal control structures, industry regulations, and international accounting standards. You will report directly to the Head of Compliance and play a pivotal role in mitigating financial risk across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory / Statutory Compliance: Monitor and implement local and international financial regulations, ensuring the group remains fully compliant.
• Internal Control Audits: Design, execute, and review internal compliance audit programs across various business units to safeguard group assets.
• Policy Formulation: Draft, update, and deploy standardized financial compliance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential structural financial risks, evaluate exposure levels, and implement robust mitigation frameworks.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related discipline.
• Professional Credentials: Part or full qualification in CA, ACCA or CIMA is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in corporate financial compliance, external/internal audit or financial risk management.
• Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of corporate governance, IFRS/local accounting frameworks and tax compliance regulations.
• Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., CargoWise, EDI systems) and advanced Excel.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory jargon for non-finance teams.
• Problem Solving: A solution-oriented mindset capable of resolving compliance roadblocks under tight deadlines.
