Senior Manager - Legal

Role Summary

PMF Finance PLC, a fast-growing non-banking financial institution in Sri Lanka, is seeking dynamic and result-oriented individuals for the position of Senior Manager - Legal.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Company in legal proceedings and handle all applications, submissions, and appearances before courts, tribunals, arbitration panels, and other judicial or quasi-judicial authorities.
• Draft, review, and prepare plaints, answers, petitions, motions, and other legal documents for filing before courts, tribunals, arbitration centers, and other relevant forums on behalf of the Company.
• Draft, examine, and review agreements, deeds, contracts, and other legal and notarial instruments, and provide legal opinions and title recommendations to safeguard the Company's interests.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance on matters arising from the Company's day-to-day operations, participate in administrative and strategic meetings, and undertake special assignments as directed by Management or designated superiors.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Attorney-at-Law with a minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification experience.
• Possession of an LL.B. degree or a higher academic qualification in Law will be considered a distinct advantage.
• Holder of a valid Notary Public License authorized to practice in both Sinhala and English within the Colombo Judicial Zone.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Sinhala and English.
• Experience in the financial sector would be an added advantage.
