Role Summary

Anverally & Sons (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a Senior Legal Officer as we expand into new geographies and segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Attending to all company trade mark registrations and intellectual property matters.
• Attending to matters pertaining to both local and international litigation.
• Drafting, reviewing and executing commercial agreements and notarial instruments.
• Examination of title to land and attending to notarial work.
• Providing legal advice to the management to ensure statutory compliance with existing law and regulatory requirements.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Attorney-at-Law with a Notaries license to practice in English in District of Colombo.
• LLB/LLM degree would be an added advantage.
• Experience in maritime, international trade, insurance, and shipping & cargo-related matters.
• Minimum of 5 years overall credible work experience as an Attorney-at-Law with 2 years in the corporate sector.
• Good command of English (oral and written) and computer literate.
• High interpersonal skills and a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
