Senior Engineer - Maintenance Planning - (MTD)

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans and strategies to ensure the reliable availability and cost-effective performance of critical assets. This includes analyzing maintenance data, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and staying up to date on industry best practices to maintain ISO standards and systems such as CMMS, RCM, and LPD.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and facilities.
• Analyzing maintenance data and identifying opportunities for improvement in maintenance strategies and procedures.
• Coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance activities are carried out effectively.
• Collaborating with other cross-functional departments, operations, and engineering to optimize maintenance processes and minimize downtime.
• Conducting risk assessments and developing contingency plans to address potential equipment failures or disruptions.
• Arranging manpower for PM and major maintenance activities as per the weekly maintenance schedule.
• Planning and scheduling work orders based on priorities from other plants, engineers, and MLTs during weekly schedule meetings.
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to maintenance activities.
• Managing material ordering, PR creation, and follow-up with procurement.
• Providing technical support and training to maintenance personnel as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree / NDT in Mechanical Engineering, or any other equivalent qualification.

Experience:

• 3-4 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in both English & Sinhala and good interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Software and systems, preferably SAP.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
