About the Opportunity

Angam Villas is a boutique hospitality group with two distinct properties: a 7-key boutique villa in Colombo (Kotte), and a 5-villa private-pool beachfront property in Hikkaduwa currently being developed into a wellness-focused retreat.

We're looking for a Senior Operations Manager to take hands-on ownership of day-to-day operations across both properties, working closely alongside ownership. This is a genuine growth role: over the next 12 months, you build a track record, designed to step up into full General Manager responsibility — including complete P&L ownership across both properties.

What You'll Own From Day One

• Day-to-day operations across both properties — guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, staffing
• Building and managing the on-site team: hiring, training, and performance
• Coordinating closely with specialist consultants on the Hikkaduwa wellness build-out and kitchen operations setup
• Establishing operational standards and procedures across both properties
• Working directly with ownership on strategic decisions, with growing autonomy as trust builds

What Grows Into Your Hands Over 12 Months

• Full P&L ownership across both properties
• Revenue strategy and growth targets
• Complete operational and commercial leadership as General Manager

What We're Looking For

• 5-8 years of hands-on HOTEL operations experience, including at least 2 years of manager level experience
• Experience in smaller, boutique hotels or villa-style properties strongly preferred over resort/chain backgrounds — you'll be hands-on across every part of a compact operation, not managing through multiple layers
• Real experience managing teams and staff in a hospitality setting
• Exposure to health & wellness hospitality is not required, but is a significant advantage — our consultants will bring the technical expertise, but if you have relevant experience, make sure to highlight it rather than bury it in your application
• A genuine appetite to grow into full general management �� this role is a deliberate stepping stone, not a ceiling
• Comfortable working closely with ownership day-to-day, especially in the first months, as trust and independence build over time

Compensation

• Base Salary: LKR 150,000 / month
• Monthly Performance Incentive: Up to LKR 50,000 / month, tied to revenue performance
• Semi-Annual Milestone Bonus: LKR 500,000 every 6 months for hitting agreed milestone targets (LKR 1,000,000 / year)
• Total Potential Annual Package: Up to LKR 3,400,000
• Growth Path: Structured step-up to General Manager compensation and full P&L ownership at the 12-month mark, contingent on performance
