Security Shift Supervisor

Role Summary

The Security Shift Supervisor will work according to a roster leading a team of Security Assistants to provide a quality security service at the British High Commission. The job holder will report directly to the Post Security Manager and will serve as a key member of the High Commission Guard Force.

Requirements/Qualifications

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the security field, preferably within a diplomatic mission, international organisation, corporate security environment or similar high-security setting.
• Good knowledge of access control, visitor management, patrol procedures, incident reporting, emergency response and basic security equipment such as CCTV, radios and alarms.

Education Qualification

• Secondary Level of Education (GCE A/L).

Language Proficiency

• English language - IELTS 6/ upper intermediate or equivalent (Spoken and Written).
• Sinhala and/or Tamil - intermediate.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lead teams effectively and make timely decisions under pressure.
• Should be proactive in performing the duties and helping others.
• Be an active team player with proven ability to work using own initiative.
• Should have enthusiastic attitude and willingness to deliver a professional customer service.
