Chinese to Sinhala / English Translator

Role Summary

We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding Chinese investment company duly incorporated in Sri Lanka and approved by the government for conduct of Online Gaming & Betting businesses. We are seeking a highly experienced, energetic, and results-oriented professional to join our team as Chinese to Sinhala / English Translator. The ideal candidate should possess excellent language proficiency in both Chinese and Sinhala, with the ability to accurately translate written and verbal communications in a professional business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, reports, emails and communications from Chinese to Sinhala/English and vice versa
• Provide interpretation support during meetings, discussions, and business communications
• Ability to write/type in all three languages (Chinese/English/Sinhala) is an added advantage
• Assist Chinese expatriate staff with day-to-day communication requirements
• Coordinate with internal departments for accurate translation of operational matters
• Translate company policies, training materials, and official documents
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all translation work
• Support management in communication with foreign stakeholders and partners
• Assist with administrative coordination when required

Requirements

• Fluency in Chinese and Sinhala languages (spoken and written)
• Good command of English will be an added advantage
• Previous experience in translation or interpretation preferred
• Ability to communicate professionally with local and foreign staff
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in translation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Prior experience working with Chinese companies or expatriates is an advantage
