Software / AI Engineering Intern

Role Summary

CreativeX Technology is seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to assist in the development of a live WhatsApp AI Automation project. You will work directly on an existing system that utilizes the Meta WhatsApp Business API to automate and manage customer interactions through intelligent workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an automated WhatsApp chatbot.
• Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into conversation flows.
• Manage message processing, response logic, and webhook integrations.
• Support multilingual communication including Sinhala, English, Tamil, and Singlish.
• Debug API, authentication, and messaging issues while ensuring code quality.
• Test various conversation scenarios to improve system reliability and accuracy.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js is required. Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and basic database management (Firebase) is essential.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Express.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, React.js, or AI APIs (OpenAI/Gemini) is a plus. Knowledge of Docker and cloud deployment is advantageous.
• Education: Undergraduate or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, ability to work with existing codebases, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
