Software Industry Business Analyst

Role Purpose :

VitalFew is an Australian tech company delivering tailored solutions in data, software, and quality assurance, with teams across Australia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong communication, stakeholder management, and software delivery skills to translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and drive successful delivery across business, Development, QA, Architecture, and Project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand business, objectives, processes and expected outcomes.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops to clarify, analyse, and prioritise requirements.
• Create functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and business rules.
• Ensure requirements are clear, complete, practicable, and testable.
• Act as the key link between business, Development, and QA teams.
• Drive requirements through development, testing, UAT, and implementation.
• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and blockers early.
• Support developers, QA teams, triage, and UAT throughout delivery.
• Monitor progress and ensure the final solution meets the intended business outcome.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software or technology delivery.
• Strong requirements, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to drive Development and QA teams toward successful delivery.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, software testing, defect management, QA, and UAT.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional requirements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to challenge unclear requirements, manage competing priorities, and drive actions to completion.
• Proactive, organised, accountable, and outcome focused.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with Agile / Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, APIs, system integrations, databases, enterprise applications, or digital transformation projects is advantageous.
