Sports Data & Content Executive

Role Summary

Sporting Star is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Sports Data & Content Executive to join our team. If you follow local and international sports, enjoy working with data, and have excellent attention to detail, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced sports publication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the daily schedule for the Sports paper using reliable sports data sources.
• Prepare and maintain sports data and Excel files within publication deadlines.
• Verify sports fixtures, odds, and results using official websites and other trusted sources.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in sports data before publication.
• Review, update, and finalize all pages of the Sports paper prior to publication.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Passion for sports and good knowledge of local and international sporting events.
• G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification; a Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Previous experience in sports data, sports publications, or data processing is an added advantage.
