Steel & Concrete Drafter in Tekla Structures

Job description:

• Create and Develop Concrete Cast Unit Drawings by using Tekla Structures program.
• Create and Develop Steel Assembly Drawings by using Tekla Structures program.

Requirements for potential candidates:

• Diploma in Engineering from IET – NDES or HNDE is a must.
• Advanced proficiency in engineering drafting and technical drawing preparation.
• Previous work experience (minimum 3 years) in making steel and concrete workshop drawings by using Tekla Structures or any other similar construction related programs.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design information.
• Good understanding of building construction principles, structural systems, detailing practices, and constructability.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify drawing inconsistencies, missing information, and potential coordination issues.
• Ability to produce accurate, clear, and high-quality drawings while meeting project deadlines and company standards.
• A self-driven attitude with a strong willingness to learn, develop professionally, and continuously improve technical skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, respect different perspectives, communicate constructively, and adapt to changing project requirements and challenges.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks independently, prioritize workload, and take responsibility for the quality of delivered work.
• Adequate knowledge of English and good communication skills.
• Within a proximity to Malabe, Colombo (At least within 1-hour ride).
