Sustainability Associate
Role Summary
Responsibility for the Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Management Reports. To support SAGT's Sustainability Goals by gathering and analyzing sustainability data, coordinating disclosures, and driving projects that reduce environmental impact and strengthen stakeholder trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Data & Analytics: Assist with sustainability data gathering, collation, validation, and analysis for internal dashboards and external communication.
- Reporting: Support the annual publication of the Company's Sustainability Report (data packs, narratives, graphics, assurance queries, on-time submissions).
- Projects & SDGs: Manage and recommend sustainability projects aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Sponsorships/Partnerships: Coordinate sustainability-related sponsorships and community partnerships, ensuring due diligence, impact tracking, and post-event reporting.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, CIMA or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfortable with data and reporting.
- Proficient in GRI and SLFRS S1 and S2 reporting frameworks.
- Ability to conduct data quality checks and prepare simple dashboards.
- A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
